Rather tha write a standard I love photography blah blah I tell you why I love to make images that are a part of me and created with genuine feeling to give you images you will love, I remember in the mid 1970s yes I’m that old my dad working for a pest control company I spent the afternoon drawing him waving from his van smiley face and glasses and the company name on the van and a arrow pointing to him saying this is Terry. The feeling of happiness I had in creating that image has been with me almost 50 years now, I remember saying dad this is for your office. It was a few years later myself and my brother would go on our first ever trip on an aeroplane to Italy, a school skiing holiday, take the camera mum said a Kodak camera with flash cubes, I still have it to this day., I went to Boots with mum to collect the prints we got about 3 that were barely worth the paper printed on all underexposed because of the snow I was 10, I did not know anything about cameras. I took the same camera on subsequent school holidays but still had that passion to create an image that would make others happy. It was around 1982 a friend brought in some photo’s of embankment, wow they’re good who took them ? “I did” was the reply, saying he had a camera I was impressed and that was my birthday wish for that July, getting the same Zenit EM camera was amazing, I had no idea what all the numbers and letters meant but now I could take amazing images too. Off I went turning the dials and buttons the picture looked good and click, 3 days later collected from Boots to see dark and blurry images, but this is a good camera what happened? I put the camera away and it got forgotten about never to be seen again,My two sons came along and I wanted to take images of the boys, I bought a second hand Nikon still had numbers and letters but I needed to find out what they meant, a photo Magazine had a advert for a learn at home course, the numbers are for this and the letters mean this,  ok I understand now why the images years ago were no good, I needed to practice more make more mistakes and learn. Taking photos was easier, and I was soon creating images for my family and friends families too, I started to feel a connection with portraits of people and again that feeling inside of producing a image that even to this day makes me and others smile as young men replace the moments frozen in time of beautiful memories.

I have taken images of people ever since it’s something I will always have in my heart the feeling of watching someone as we chat/and make great images appear on the screen the feeling is hard to describe, the prints are the next step on the journey, an image on a screen is lovely anyone can see anytime anywhere in the world, but that feeling of holding a beautiful image in your hand or on the wall is priceless, I have printed 10s of 1000s of images over the years, and Its been 46 years since the day I gave my dad his felt-tip drawing but I will forever have the same feeling of happiness and genuine sincerity to give a piece of me to you

“lets create a beautiful image of you ”

Lucy Mo

I am originally from Hainan (an island at the south of China) I have been living in the Uk for over 15 years now, my daughter lives in the UK too. I began taking photos on a mobile phone shortly after becoming a full time nanny for two beautiful girls in Newcastle, I love to take photos of children they are full of energy and happiness. When I met Roger five years ago we immediaetly had a connection we both loved photography, he asked about the images on my phone and said you would be a great child photographer, it was a gift for my birthday a beautiful Sony DSLR my first professional camera, I know that I have taken more photos in 5 years than I have taken in my life. I help in the studio and we work as a team when shooting weddings or outdoors. I specialise now in children photography I like rolling around on the floor and playing with the children bringing out their true character that’s caught on camera and giving you images you will love
